Daniel Jones, aged 16, is currently in the first year of the two-year Level 3 diploma in sport.

Daniel said: “I chose to come to college as I wanted to focus on just one subject rather than having to do three subjects for A-level which would have been confusing

“I like playing sport and wanted to learn more about how the body works, and am currently learning about fitness testing, diet and anatomy and physiology

“In the future I either want to go into coaching or physiotherapy. For coaching I’m learning how to work with other people and for physiotherapy I’m learning about different injuries- and, if physiotherapy is the route I decide to take, the course will give me the qualifications I need to go to university.

“To anyone who is unsure of what to do after GCSEs I’d say find out about college, what it can do for you and how it will help you to go to university or take your next steps.”
