After gaining a Distinction in his Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care in May 2020, 33-year-old William Turnbull is now studying for a three-year BSc in Operation Department Practice at Birmingham City University.

William said: “I chose the foundation degree to gain further knowledge and skills to support my current role and lead to further career opportunities.

“The course opened up other avenues, as well as enabled me to develop academic skills that I hadn’t practiced in some time.

“All of the tutors were supportive, helpful and available throughout the two years and were willing to help guide me through anything.

“If you’re considering this course it will help you get your feet in the wide world of health and social care and gain the knowledge base to go as far as you want to.”
