Ollie Buckley has spent many years working at a senior level in the museums and heritage sector. He was a member of the team that launched The New Art Gallery Walsall in 2000. Afterwards, he dedicated over 17 years to Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery. As museum manager, he oversaw Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall, the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, and Soho House. Serving as the founding museum director at Stourbridge Glass Museum from 2020 to 2022 was a significant point in his career.
After accomplishing his goals in the museum sector, he is now enjoying his role as a careers adviser. He assists students with university applications and provides interview guidance. His aim aligns with the college’s mission: to ensure students can progress to successful and fulfilling careers. In essence, he helps define futures.
