Employers from across the region can find out more about how apprenticeships can benefit their business at a free networking event hosted by City of Wolverhampton College next week.

The apprenticeship showcase and business networking event, on Wednesday 13 July, will give employers the chance to talk to staff about the wide range of apprenticeships offered by the college and the support available to set up training programmes within their company.

The event will also celebrate the success of current apprentices, with winners of Apprentice of the Year awards in eight industry categories set to be announced during the evening.

Daniel Degg, head of employer engagement and business development at the college, said: “The event is an opportunity for employers to discuss their company’s training needs, network with other professionals from across the region and celebrate the achievements of apprentices during the current academic year.”

Employers attending the event will also have the opportunity to find out about full-time and part-time courses, higher education qualifications, work experience opportunities and sector-based work programmes offered by the college.

The event is being held at Grand Station, Sun Street, Wolverhampton, from 5pm to 7pm, and is being sponsored by Budweiser, RBSL, Thompson Group, William Gough, Wulfrun Building Solutions Ltd and Zaks Hairdressing.
