Young people who are due to finish school in the summer and are unsure about what to do next can find out about courses and qualifications on offer at City of Wolverhampton College at an open day this Saturday, 14 January.

Continuing to study after GCSEs doesn’t mean having to stop on at school – the college offers a range of alternative options for students of all abilities, and tutors will be on-hand with advice on the best routes into different careers from 10am to 2pm at the Paget Road campus in Compton and the Wellington Road campus in Bilston

With over 300 industry-recognised vocational courses, a wide range of A-levels subjects, and a comprehensive apprenticeship programme, students can choose the subject(s) that interest them the most and will give them the qualifications, skills and knowledge needed for the next stage of their career journey – whether that is progressing to the next level of their college course, doing a higher education qualification, going to university or moving into employment.

Visitors to the open day can talk to tutors about courses available, have a tour of the industry-standard training facilities and take part in activities related to the subject they’re interested in, as well as get the lowdown on college life from current students, speak to recruiting officers about apprenticeship opportunities with local employers, get careers advice, find out about financial support to help with college costs and apply for their course whilst at the event.

Book a place at the open day on Saturday,14 January at www.wolvcoll.ac.uk/events
