City of Wolverhampton College hosts coffee morning for service men and women

STUDENTS HOST COFFEE MORNING FOR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN

Armed forces veterans and serving personnel can enjoy free refreshments at a monthly coffee morning hosted by students from City of Wolverhampton College, this Friday (March 6). 

Learners studying for diplomas in public services and hospitality are supporting the event to give current and former servicemen and women the chance to meet others from the local area.

The meeting is being held at the college’s Academy restaurant, at the Metro One campusin the city centre, from 10.30am until 12pm.

Visitors will be treated to tea, coffee and freshly-made breakfast baps served by catering students. 

Richard Jones, public services tutor at the college, said: “As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, the college has organised the event to give veterans and serving military personnel an opportunity to get together, make new friends and inspire the next generation of servicemen and women.”
