39-year-old Radouine Boujarmoune lbazi, wants to own his own construction company in the future so signed up for the free construction plant operative training course, part of the college’s sector-based work academy programme (SWAP) to improve his skills and gain more experience of working in the industry. 

 Radouine said: I’m learning about brickwork and block paving which will really help me get into the areas I want to work I and I can see that this course will help me to find work and improve my wage. 

“The tutor is great! He’s always willing to support us and show us little tricks of the trade and being guaranteed an interview at the end of the course is a good idea. 

“The course being free is a massive help to anyone who wants to start out in construction and I’d advise anyone to do this course as it’s a fantastic place to start.
