Course: Art and Design Level 3

After completing the art and design Level 3 extended diploma at the college in 2012, 29-year-old Hannah Lunn went on to study fine art photography at the University of Wolverhampton and now works for a digital agency in Leeds as well as running her own photographic studio.

Hannah said: ” The college course helped me to prepare by setting me up with some commercial awareness, mostly about how to interpret a brief and kickstart a new project rather than just taking a nice photo. I got to build connections locally with amazing people, and even going to Florence as part of the course changed my life!

“After leaving university I went into social media marketing for a fashion company whilst continuing my photography as a hobby, and then started working in content production, working on briefs for clients such as Haribo, Center Parcs and Kelloggs.

“I now combine working for a digital marketing agency in Leeds, with running my own fashion and beauty editorial photography company and my own photography studio – called Luxe Noir Studios – so a typical day can include looking after website deliveries for Microsoft or the Premier League and shooting fashion models in my studio space after I’ve finished work!

I had the time of my life at college and it helped me progress so much personally and professionally.  I still carry the lessons I learnt with me to this day and it’s a huge part of my working style.

“To anyone interested in photography and in this course I’d say definitely consider it as the next step of your career journey.”
