Our Creative Media Facilities

Whether you want a career in front of the camera or in a technical role behind the scenes, you’ll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of media production, from filming and sound to directing and presenting.
 
The professional broadcast studio at the CLQ campus is fully equipped with professional cameras, lighting equipment, boom microphones, as well as a video editing gallery and computer suites featuring industry software, giving you the tools to refine your projects and bring your creative ideas to the screen.

The college is proud to work in partnership with Sports for Change, strengthening our Creative Media provision through a range of collaborative activities. We have also previously worked in collaboration with the BBC providing students with valuable opportunities to engage with industry-led projects and develop their creative skills in real-world contexts. These partnerships help ensure learners benefit from professional experience and industry engagement through:

  • Professional production experience, allowing students to plan, film, edit and deliver high-quality media content for live clients, developing industry-standard production and post-production skills
  • Industry insight and creative development, including a recent collaboration with BBC professionals, where students took part in a screenwriting project, developing original scripts with industry experts before producing, filming and editing their work for showcase at a professional film premiere
