At 50 years old, Karla Esmeralda Rodriguez de Romero decided to enhance her skills and career prospects by enrolling on the Into Employment Education and Training course at City of Wolverhampton College. 

During the course, Karla developed effective listening and communication skills, learned about equality, diversity and inclusion, and explored ways to support children’s emotional and language development. Alongside this, she also studied ESOL and Maths at Entry Level 3 to improve her grammar, listening, speaking, and reading skills. 

“I’ve developed so much — now I can speak and understand a lot more than before,” she said. 

Karla plans to continue studying and growing: “The college and the tutors are very helpful and very professional,” she added.
