At 42 years old, Sazan Younis returned to education to build the qualifications she needed to progress into university or a teaching assistant role. Studying Level 2 Maths and Level 2 English at City of Wolverhampton College has helped her grow in confidence, develop new academic skills, and prepare for the next step in her career.
“Since starting studying at the college, I feel my confidence and self‑reliance have increased tremendously. Now I am able to solve complex maths problems and write academic essays. These courses have enabled me to gain extra knowledge and skills. The best parts were the multi‑step processes to solve complex problems and learning how to interpret and analyse context in order to identify appropriate maths solutions.”
“I completed my the Level 2 Functional Skills Maths qualification before Christmas, and this will certainly help me get a place at university or onto a teaching assistant course much more easily. Before completing this course it was difficult for me, but now it will give me an advantage over other applicants.”
“I always encourage anyone who wants to continue their studies to register with the college. So far, I have recommended the college to four people. The college provides an opportunity for anyone who wishes to reach their potential.”
