Have you got previous work experience or completed a Level 1 plumbing or building services qualification?
If you have answered yes to these four questions then this is the course for you!
This course is perfect for anyone who has aspirations of becoming a plumber – whether you have recently left school or want to make a career change this course will prepare you to work in the industry and qualify you to work as a plumbers mate within this industry.
This is a one year course which can be studied full-time or part-time.
Also, if you earn less than £32,000 per year and aged 19 or over, you could study this course for FREE!

Entry Requirements:
To access this course you are required to have:
- Level 1 plumbing qualification
- GCSE maths and English at grade C/4 or above
- You will be expected to maintain good attendance and punctuality, as well as show commitment, a positive attitude to learning, and determination to achieve the qualification.
Applications from adults without the necessary qualification, but with relevant industry/work experience, will be considered on an individual basis.

- Plumbing principles
- Cold and hot water systems
- Central heating
- Health and safety

- Develop your understanding of basic plumbing, electrical and refrigeration systems

How will I be assessed?
You’ll be assessed on your practical skills and the knowledge you gain, by completing practical tasks and theory online multiple choice tests.

The skills you will learn from this course will enable you to prgress to:
- Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing
- A plumbing apprenticeship
- Gain work as a plumber’s mate or improver
