Abigail Norton’s journey from HR Apprentice to full-time HR Assistant at the City of Wolverhampton College showcases her growth within the HR field, supported by the college’s commitment to professional development and a nurturing work environment. She said: 

“When I first started my apprenticeship, I felt nervous about navigating new tasks and responsibilities. However, I quickly adapted and learned how to assist with onboarding new employees, managing records, and supporting team inquiries. Each day brought new learning opportunities, helping me expand my skills in HR. 

“This experience has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’ve gained valuable insights into the field. The college has supported my development every step of the way, helping me build on my skills while also focusing on personal growth.
