Before starting the automotive course, Christian Jennings knew very little about motor vehicles or how they worked. After completing both the Level 1 and Level 2 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness courses, he now has a solid understanding of the industry. Christian said:
” I can now confidently identify the difference between a hybrid and a full electric vehicle, I understand how an internal combustion engine works and how an electric motor functions, and I can carry out basic maintenance such as removing wheels and brake callipers, changing brake pads and discs, and swapping out spark plugs and coil packs.”
“I would say this course – run in partnership with City of Wolverhampton College and Duplex Training – is worthwhile if you want to get into the automotive industry or just want to get a feel for what it would be like working in the sector. Maybe as an apprentice mechanic, a parts man, or even working in logistics – there are endless possibilities in the automotive industry.”
