At 38 years old, Martin Murrell decided to take the next step towards his career goals by enrolling on the Into Employment Education and Training course at City of Wolverhampton College. 

During the course, Martin developed knowledge and practical skills in childcare units, employability, teamwork, communication, health and safety, and safeguarding. 

“Everything I learned helped me towards being more prepared for future events,” he said. “I’ve improved in many areas that I used to struggle with.” 

Martin is now moving into full-time employment working with children in early years and encourages others to do the same: “Go for it — you will enjoy it and be surprised at how much knowledge you will obtain about the career you’d like to work in.”
