Triminder Lallie has always had a passion for trains and a dream to work in the rail industry. After years as a gas engineer, he wanted a fresh start that would give him new challenges and opportunities.
“As a young kid, I always wanted to be a train driver, so my passion for the rail has always been there! I reached a point where I wanted to invest my time into actually getting into the rail industry.”
“I was a gas engineer for over five years, but it wasn’t giving me that spark anymore. I wanted to work outside with other people because my last job could be quite lonely. I know the rail will keep my head busy and give me the chance to work as part of a team, which is exactly what I wanted.”
“We learned so much theory in the classroom, which we then put into practice at the brilliant rail training facility. I’m a very hands-on person, so I’ve really enjoyed that aspect of the course.”
“The tutors deserve a lot of credit. They’re all industry experts with loads of knowledge, and they share real-life experience of working on the rail. Their support has been amazing.”
“Everyone in the class comes from a different background and age group, but we’re all mates and have a great laugh together.”
“This course has been brilliant for me. I’ve been busy, gained qualifications, and built new relationships. Without realising it, this course has given me lifelong skills.”
