At 45 years old, Violet Ogundairo chose to build on her background in education by enrolling on the Into Employment Education and Training course at City of Wolverhampton College. 

Through the course, Violet explored topics such as equality, diversity and inclusion, active listening, vocabulary development, and promoting language and communication skills in children. 

“I now know the expected roles of a teaching assistant and have more confidence,” she said. 

With her new skills and renewed self-belief, Violet’s goal is to continue her studies to qualify as a teaching assistant and then gain employment  — and she encourages others: “Have confidence in the school staff.”
