I am proud to be part of a high-performing team dedicated to supporting and delivering high quality student education. During my successful tenure spanning over 20 years I have viewed the student journey from many viewpoints which provides the ideal connection for students to obtain the best educational journey in today’s challenging times. I firmly believe that providing a thought-provoking safe learning environment is the key to student success.
My journey at the college began in 2017, when I was a sports coordinator and studied for my PGCE to pursue a career as a tutor. I am passionate about sport and physical activity and enjoy delivering coaching sessions and learning about the theoretical aspects of sports performance.
I studied at Newman University in Birmingham and completed a Sports Studies degree. My passions are sports psychology, sports business and football; both playing and watching. I believe that hard work breeds success and you can do anything you put your mind to.
I have a degree in physical education from the University of Wolverhampton which has enabled me to work in the area I feel passionate about. I have a background in football and played as a professional football player from the age of 16 in my home country of Cyprus. My philosophy in life is ”follow your passion and everything will come into place”.
I have a background in sports coaching and studied at The University of Wolverhampton which lead me to coach all over the world. From this I progressed into teaching where I have found a passion for passing on my knowledge.
I completed my Level 3 Sports Diploma at the college in 2011 and Since then, I have gone on to achieve a first class degree and Master’s degree, amongst my other professional achievements. Outside of work you will find me on the golf course cricket pitch or watching Wolves.
Before becoming a tutor, I completed my personal training qualifications at the college and went on to work in the fitness industry for 7 years. I have a passion for health, fitness and helping others, which I hope to embed into my teaching and pass on to students on our sports courses.
At City of Wolverhampton College, we offer strong links with leading universities and over 1,000 employers – meaning our courses are all career focussed and relevant.
