Is this course right for me?

If you have already completed a Level 2 qualification in barbering or hairdressing this course will give you the skills you need to become a fully qualified barber.

You will learn a range of advanced skills – including cutting men’s hair and facial hair, providing shaving and facial massage services.

You will also learn how to deliver first class customer service and promote products to clients, as well as the importance of health and safety in the workplace – all of which will impress future employers and equip you for a dynamic career in the industry.

You will work with a range of real clients in the college’s commercial hair salon at the Wellington Road campus, which will enable you to gain valuable work experience as you learn your skills.

*Please note: you will be required to have potential clients who will be able to visit the salon to enable you to complete your assessment and will also be required to purchase your own barbering kit, costing approximately £180 – order forms will be provided prior to starting the course and financial support may be available to help with these costs.
