The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching and training sessions and how to assess and give constructive and developmental feedback.
Successful completion of the qualification will give you a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners. You will also be able to sequence learning, plan and deliver sessions using appropriate resources and teaching methods, and identify the characteristics of effective assessment and feedback.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification however if you wish to obtain employment as a trainer/teacher you must:
- Have achieved a qualification and have experience in that subject/skill at the appropriate level (minimum Level 3).
- Have achieved Level 2 in English, maths and ICT
- Attend an interview to determine your interest, commitment and suitability for the course.

- Written assignments
- Group presentations
- Micro teach activity
What can I do next?
The skills you will learn in this course will enable you to progress on to:
- Certificate in Education / Professional Graduate Certificate in Education
- Apply for roles as a Teacher/Trainer in your subject area in Adult and Post Compulsory education settings
