If you want to move into a management role, this higher technical qualification (HTQ) will give you a solid understanding of the concepts of leadership and management and enable you to gain skills and qualities pertinent to key areas of the business you work in.

HTQs were introduced in 2023 and are a great option if you’re looking to gain more technical knowledge in your chosen field and are developed by employers to be career-focused, focus on practical and technical skills, and are flexible and adaptable so that you can fit studying around other commitments.

You will broaden your knowledge of the principles of leadership, management practices and team dynamics and gain the relevant skills required for management roles such as critical thinking and efficient planning needed to meet employers’ demands.

You will acquire extensive business knowledge intertwined with practical skills developed through research, independent study, directed study, and workplace scenarios, and further develop your communication, teamwork, research and analysing skills.
