Monday and Tuesday, 6pm – 9pm
This course is for anyone who has completed a Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry and wishes to progress their learning to Level 3.

Entry Requirements:
To access this course you are required to:
Have a Level 2 diploma in site carpentry
Have shown good attendance on your last course and a positive attitude towards teaching and learning
What will I learn?
During this course you will learn:
- Health, Safety and welfare in construction
- Principles of organising, planning and pricing construction work
- First and second fix
- English and maths (if required)
What skills will I gain?
By studying this course you will:
- Understand aspects of management
- First fix flooring, roofing and stairs
- Second fix Operations, Double doors and mouldings
- Set up and use fixed and transportable machinery
- Understand health and safety and how it is applied in the construction industry
- Improve your Maths and English skills
How will I be assessed?
You will be continually assessed throughout the programme. There are a small number of formal exams to sit during the year and a number of practical assessments that you have to pass as you progress with your practical knowledge.
What can I do next?
With a Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry, you can look for employment, either as an apprentice or a full-time position. If you wanted to progress your learning, you could apply for a Level 4 HNC in Construction and the Built Environment.
