Young people leaving school in the summer, employees who want to upskill to improve their career prospects, and residents who are looking for work, can find out about courses on offer at City of Wolverhampton College at an open evening on Wednesday, 22 April.
The college’s new campus at the City Learning Quarter in Wolverhampton city centre, and Wellington Road campus, in Bilston, will be open from 4pm to 7pm for people to talk to tutors about full-time and part-time courses, higher education qualifications and apprenticeships with local employers.
Those attending the CLQ campus can find out about A Levels in a range of subjects, as well as vocational qualifications in art and design, business and management, catering and hospitality, computing and digital, creative media, games design and e-sports, hair and beauty, health and social care, music technology, performing arts, photography and science.
Visitors to the Wellington Road campus can get information on courses in automotive, bakery, childcare and early years, construction, engineering, sport, travel and tourism, and uniformed public services.
Visitors to the event can also have a tour of the college’s industry-standard training facilities,, including science labs, digital areas, hair and beauty training salons, and professional broadcast, music, photography and performing arts studios at the City Learning Quarter campus; and the Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre, construction centre, professional bakery, and sports centre at the Wellington Road campus.
Attendees can also find out about financial support available to help with study and travel costs and apply for their chosen course while at the event.
