The media industry today is changing at rates faster than ever before and our UAL Level 2 Diploma course in Creative Media Production focuses on ensuring you are prepared for the industry that requires multi-talented people by training you in a range of media disciplines. This is a practical, work-related course which provides a detailed introduction to the world of creative media. Units are taught by using project briefs designed to give you experience of working in a professional environment, with a focus on real employability skills in the sector. You will learn about the creative media sector, job roles in the industry and develop your skills for success.

The course is accredited by the University of the Arts London Awarding Body (UAL). City of Wolverhampton College is the only college in the Black Country, and one of only a few in the Midlands, to be accredited and offer qualifications from University of Arts London. UAL is a specialist awarding body offering up-to-date qualifications in the creative industries. It is owned by, and based within, University of the Arts London.

Also, if you earn less than £30,000 per year and aged 19 or over, you could study this course for FREE!

To access this course you are required to:

  • Have four or more GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above
  • Attend an interview and provide examples of your work to demonstrate your suitability for the course

The course is project/assignment based and assessment is continuous throughout the year both in lessons, set work and through observations. 

The year will culminate with a final major project which will be awarded a pass, merit or distinction.

The skills you will learn from this course will enable you to:

  • Progress to the Creative Media UAL Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma 

You'll train in our dedicated facilities which include a TV studio and a Mac editing suite together with a range of classrooms and facilities on campus such as our digital recording studios. All tutors are active within the industry and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to call upon enabling you the best opportunity to progress in your chosen career.
